Like many designers, my interest in graphic arts began with logos. As a kid I was obsessed with the marks for baseball teams, bands, and surfboard shapers. When I found out there were people who designed logos for a living, I decided that was what I wanted to do.
That obsession hasn't gone anywhere. Logo design remains one of the most satisfying and humbling parts of the work, because a great mark has to function at every scale and outlast almost everything around it. The following pieces span the last decade, and each one represents a process that rarely ends up where it started.
The feeling of sitting in a lift line and spotting a logo you designed on someone's goggle across the snow is something that never gets old.
